How old do participants have to be?
Participants should be between 5-10 years old. Whenever possible, Coach Kennedy prefers to group 5 to 7-year-olds together and 8 to 10-year-olds together. This allows her to better accommodate each group's specific abilities. You can host several sessions on one day, as long as each session includes at least ten players.
What are the minimum and maximum numbers of students per session?
The minimum is ten participants. The maximum is twenty. If you have more than twenty interested, you should book an additional session. Coach Kennedy can host several sessions on one day at your site.
How long is each session?
Sessions are one hour each. Coach Kennedy can do multiple sessions on one day at your site.
What is the cost and when is payment due?
The cost is just $5 per participant. Payment is due upon arrival at your center.
What happens when I book a clinic?
You and Coach Kennedy work together to choose the perfect date for your clinic. You will both sign an agreement about the date, times, and logistics of your sessions. You can advertise the event using materials Coach Kennedy will provide via an email. You will collect payments and permission slips from interested students. On the day of the event, Coach Kennedy will show up an hour early to set up her materials. She will manage the sessions from start to finish, though a member of your staff should be present at all times.
What does my site need to provide?
Participants will need room to run. If you do not have a gym or basketball court, you will need a room, large sidewalk, or parking lot area that is safe for participant activities. Smaller spaces will limit the group size, and inclement weather will force a change in scheduling if the event will be outside. At least one member of your staff should be present at all times. Coach Kennedy will also need access to an electrical outlet.
What does Coach Kennedy provide?
FUN! Coach Kennedy will bring appropriately sized basketballs, a sound system with music, extension cords, numerous basketball handling and shooting routines, and all other materials necessary to make the event a great one for participants. She starts each session with some exciting ball-handling tricks to get your participants ready to play.
What does my staff need to do during the clinics and after?
At least one member of your staff should be available at all times to provide encouragement, a familiar face, and help if necessary. After the sessions, please complete the survey that will be emailed to you.
